Information
The Abbey was built on - and from the pieces of - a Roman villa. It was known for its unending feasts, and had the reputation that no visitor would leave unsatisfied.
However, some reports of the feasts had an air of obligation about them. Some visitors claimed that they could not leave, even when they tried and were sated. The cauldron used to cook was also referred to in one source as a grail.
